Resolution time query on jira

HI

The resolution time chart on jira calculates the time the issues spends from when it is created to the time when it got resolved (resolution was filled).

Now in my case, there are situations when the issue is blocked by a third party and we do not want that blockage time to show up on the resolution time.

Is there a way we can stop the resolution time clock to stop ticking when the issue is blocked by a third party (say when it is blocked we transition the issue to Blocked status)

Any plugins which can do this? Any workarounds?

Service Desk calculates this as SLAs for you. Else, you would have to create your own add on.
