Request type field is missing in Service Desk

Laurens Koop April 9, 2018

Request type is not visible when creating/editing issue.

However, when checking : 'where is my field', Jira says that is should be visible in the form.

Unfortunately, it is not visible. Checked previous questions, I can conclude that:

- Field is in the scheme

- Request type is not visible under configure fields

- Field is not hidden

- Field is locked

- Field is visible and can be adjusted, after issue is created

This Solution doesn't work https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/custom-fields-or-system-fields-are-not-appearing-on-the-screen-163416168.html

Hi Laurens Koop,

The field does not show up on the screen even if it added to the screen, there are already open suggestions to show the Request type field in both server JSDSERVER-1211<https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDSERVER-1211> and cloud JSDCLOUD-1211 <https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JSDCLOUD-1211>versions of JSD. Also please see the page on Automatically set Customer Request Type When Issue is Created via JIRA<https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirakb/automatically-set-customer-request-type-when-issue-is-created-via-jira-859463969.html> if you would like to automatically update the Customer Request Type upon issue creation.
