It seems that when creating issues and posting via the JIRA integration to Slack, a priority field that I do not have enabled for this issue type is assigned. This priority field would also show in the JIRA project board but I've hidden it there

I do not want this default priority field as it's not very descriptive and I'd rather create one myself. Anyone know how to turn this off? See image as an example

Hi @Samuel Beaumont ,

I'm not sure if you can configure what's displayed within the Jira issue card within Slack. I've tried to find feature suggestions about this but I didn't manage to find it. If you want, you can try to scan it yourself: filter link.

Additional note on default priorities - each Jira project has priority scheme assigned to it, and each priority scheme has a default priority that is set (although the user can override that if you've placed a Priority field on the create issue screen). Usually, the default value for Priority is Medium and that would also seem to be the case here as well.

You can also reach out to Atlassian Support and ask them if an open suggestion related to Slack integration exists and if not, they might open a new feature request.

Cheers,
Tom

Thanks Tom, feels like you're spot on and this cannot be configured.

That's a shame, will make do
