Releases value is missing in Jira Plan

We use Jira plan for cross-team view and I added Releases column to the Plan. I can see only 7 issues on the plan that show Release, although in Jira filter there are 103 such projects.

i.e. Feature Discovery with Incremental Learning with key PBMP-6905 have no Release in the Plan but Release version value is filled out. Is this the same field Releases in Plan and Release Version in the issue? If yes, why its values isn't visible?

Thank you

Hi @Yuliia Vyborova,

No, that is a different field. The release you see in a plan corresponds with the fix version field in Jira.

Hope this helps!

I don't know what type of field release version is - it does not look like a Jira system field as far as I am aware and so it is probably a custom field that was set up by someone in your company. If it is a supported field, you can import it into your plan from Plan Settings > Custom Fields > Add custom field. After that, it should become visible.

A caveat in this case is that the fix version (release) system field from Jira is quite important when you want to do release planning. A fix version has start and end dates, a status, can be graphically displayed on a plan's timeline and is taken into consideration in the (automated) scheduling algorithm. So while it may be possible to make the field visible in a plan, it won't have the same benefits and capabilities the Jira system field offers.

Yes, indeed it is custom field. Now makes sense - thank you again!
