Why there is a blue circle around the assignee icon for some of the users?

Hi!

In my scrum board, I realized that some of the assignee icons has blue circle around it. I could not find any answers on why. Does anyone know?

Hi John,

Actually, I found out why it happened so I will pass the info :) 

It is company managed - software development- jira software project. 

When you enter any character on the search box on the left-upper side of the board, it highlights each character on the board that you have searched for, and if that character is included in any of the username then system puts a blue circle around the assignee icon. 

Hope it is explanatory enough. :)

That's new for me also. What type of project is this? Team-managed? Company-managed? Jira Work Management? Jira Software?
