Hi!

I have created a workflow -> associated it to a workflow scheme, but now when I try to associate the workflow scheme to a project, I don't have that Workflows option.

  1. Choose Settings > Projects.

  2. Go to your project and click Project settings

  3. Click Workflows to configure your project's workflow scheme as needed.

  4. When you're ready to publish your workflow, click Associate to begin the migration process.

  5. Click Acknowledge and you're done.

Is there another way to do this? Is this because of the limitation of Jira Software (Cloud)? Do I need to upgrade and if I do, to which Jira version should I upgrade to have the Workflows option available in Project Settings?

Thanks!

Hi @Cristina Balae and welcome to the community,

No you don't need to upgrade your plan. Free will do. Assuming that you are on a company managed project (on the bottom left you have to read "company managed project"):

  • Go to project settings
  • Workflows > Switch scheme
  • Choose your desirable scheme
  • Click associate

Hi! Thank you for the fast response! In the bottom left, it says "team-managed project". Is that the issue? How do I change it to 'company managed project"? Cause I don't have the Workflows tab available. Thanks!

Yup! That's the problem :)

Team managed project have  unique workflows which can't be share among them. On the other hand company managed projects can share different configuration.

You can't change the project type so you have two options:

  • Create a new project (if your project is fairly new)
  • Create a new project and move all your issues
