RECOVER MY DATA FROM JIRA CLOUD

Antonio Ruiz December 11, 2024

I have backed up my project to Jira cloud.

Once I have done this step, now I would like to recover the information I have in the cloud and take it back to jira for another project or a different account.

How should I do it?

Hello @Antonio Ruiz

You said you backed up your project "to" Jira Cloud. Does that mean the issue data is now accessible in a Jira Cloud instance?

Can you provide more information on what you mean by "take it back to Jira for another project"?

If you wanted to copy the data to another Jira Cloud instance that would be a "cloud to cloud" migration. You can find information on that topic here:

I would like to explain myself better. I have downloaded a .zip file containing the back up of my project from the cloud. My client has asked me to send him this .zip file, so that in the future he can restore it in his Jira account and thus visualise the entire project we have developed.

Could you tell me the steps or the procedure I should follow to send him this backup correctly and make sure that he can restore it in his Jira account?

What instructions did you follow to create the zip file?
