Quick Filters Bug?

JHall July 1, 2021

Recently my team and I have had issues using the quick filters we set up. I have to click a quick filter twice to get the appropriate issues to disappear. A team member refreshes the page to get the quick filter settings to stick.

Plus (this is less of a pain), when I have quick filter settings applied and I create a new issue - that meets the criteria of the quick filter - I get a message confirming that the issue was created but isn't currently visible. Once upon a time, it would be visible.

Did something change recently in how these work or is this a bug?

Hello Jess,

Thank you for reaching out to the Atlassian Community!

Testing on my local site, I wasn’t able to replicate the same issue. Once I click on the quick filter, it works. I tested both on Chrome and Firefox and on a Scrum and Kanban board.

Can you please let us know more details about your board? For example, the number of tickets, if it’s happening with all quick filters.

Have you tested using another browser or incognito mode? It’s also important to disable all extensions on the browser.

Regarding the second issue, if you are using a board and it has an active sprint, the new ticket will only be visible if you also select the sprint at the moment the ticket is created.

Kind regards,
Angélica

Hi Angélica,

Apologies for the late reply - it's been a busy week! Of course, the issue now seems to have resolved itself. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I will keep an eye on this for a few more days and if it doesn't happen again, I'll close this item. Otherwise, I'll get the answers to your additional questions.

On the second issue - so if my quick filter is to show all flagged items (note I'm in the backlog view). I have that selected and I create a new issue that I have flagged, it won't show if there's an active sprint?

Hi Jess,

No worries!

I tested by creating a quick filter to filter flagged issues and when creating a new issue that matches with the current quick filter, it will show under the backlog, and then it will be necessary to move to the new or the active sprint.
