Hello everyone,

So, recently we restructured our JIRA instance to match a company restructuring of the different development teams.

In summary, it resulted in us having multiple projects, one for each team and one for the supervising guys that oversee the multiple teams. This matches pretty well and meets our requirements.

The only "problem" we are facing is that now, since our boards are configured with filter queries that cover multiple projects, we can no longer use the quick create issue.

From my understanding, this is because the filter covers multiple projects and, as such, JIRA does not know in which project to place the issue.

Is there a way to workaround this so we can use the quick create functionality? It really helps out creating a large number of issues.

Thanks in advance.

Hi @Carlos Rocha , by "quick create" do you mean the create action button on the board? If so then you are correct that this option will disappear for the reaso you stated. There is no OOTB solution for this.

Hey @Jack Brickey ,

Thanks for the response.

Yeah, I mean when you are in Backlog and just press the '+ Create Issue' sign and it allows you to just type out the summary of the issue you want to create.

I was hoping there was a way for it to just use a default project or something to create the issue and keep the functionality.

If that's not possible, is there a place I can make a suggestion or something?

Thanks.
