We have set up Product Discovery for our company. I have followed the instructions & created 2 groups - creator & contributor. Users are able to join with a link; however, it automatically assigns them to the creator group & uses a license. I thought this was because the default access group is the creator group; however, when I switch it to the contributor it gives everyone in that group a license.
Is there a way to automatically assign them to the contributor group?
Thank you
How are you onboarding users as contributors? What is the link they are using and how are they getting access to it?
Another user is giving them a link to the "Idea List" that has been set up. From what I have been able to gather, they have to set up an account & they are being added to the creator group. It is my understanding that they should be able to view the list & not create any new items - except that they are being added to the creator group.

You may have the ability enabled for any user with an email address from your domain to sign up for a Atlassian account, does that sound correct?
This may be a setting you want to verify. If someone is not explicitly adding them in as a contributor but they are themselves signing up this may be the case
