Hello,
I've created 3 new fields and want the user to fill them as soon as he goes to a specific status.
The problem is that once he fills them they do not see them in the body.
How do I handle with this problem?
(I do not want these fields to be displayed in task creation or in Tab)
Regards,
Eitan.
1. Don't put them on the create screen if you don't want them available at create time
2. If you want them filled in at a certain status you should put them only on the transition screen shown when going into the status or coming out of it. Do not put them on the edit screen.
3. Put them on the view screen so they will show up in issue details.
3. Not seeing them once they are filled in is contrary to how JIRA normally works. Are you hiding them in the field configuration? I've never tried hiding a field and then presenting it on a transition screen so I don't know if it would be hidden except the transition screen.
Hi Joseph,
I've done the first three steps you specified, but because I set this screen to View, it "overrides" me the rest of the fields.
Attached is a picture of the screen (on hold) in the setting and a picture of the issue.
Is this a problem that has no solution?

Eitan.

If you edit the issue and they show with values but don't show in the issue details I'm don't to know why, I've never had that happen.
