Premium to Enterprise cloud migration

Hello all

My company will soon get enterprise Jira licenses, but soon isn't good enough for my team as we need Jira ASAP.

My plan is to buy some Premium licenses now so we can setup our projects and when we get enterprise access just migrate our projects and data to the enterprise instance.

Migration Cloud site feature is still in Beta, so I was wondering, is our plan feasible, can we just migrate from one cloud instance to another cloud instance without issues.
Has anyone tried it?

Hi @Sokratis Kontos , 

Cloud site migration can indeed be used to move your Jira site to the new Enterprise organization when it's created. This feature can be used to merge your Jira site with an existing or new one.

Otherwise, if you want to keep your instance and only move it to the new organization, this is done in the admin console : https://support.atlassian.com/organization-administration/docs/what-is-an-atlassian-organization/

Both solutions work for us.
Our Jira instance moving to the enterprise site or our current site as a whole be part of the enterprise (as enterprise option can have multiple sites).

I am happy that we can have any of these 2 . Just wanted to make sure I won't have to make any kind of .....manual migration story by story!

What are you looking for in Premium licenses that is not in Standard license? Just curious!
