Portfolio parent link also allows selection of closed issues

Hi, 

The Parent Link field (Portfolio for Jira) allows users to select issues that are closed. I cannot imagine a use case where this would make sense.

As far as I know the Epic Link field doesn't allow closed Epics to be selected.

Do you think there is a good reason for Parent LInk to allow selecting closed issues? Or should this be restricted like with the Epic Link field?

But I don't see an open ticket especially for the requested feature, may be you can create an new ticket.

It's related to that. But not exactly the same. That ticket is about features that are / were missing for the Parent Link field. My issue is that the Parent Link isn't behaving the way it should. In my opinion it doesn't make sense that the Parent Link field is allowing closed issues to be selected. I've opened a new Suggestion for this: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JPOSERVER-2346
