Personal Email in Cert Testing Profile Question

I am in the process of scheduling to take one of the professional certifications.  In the opening in directs the user to do some checks to make sure there are no issues when testing like verify that your name appears exactly like on your ID.  On that same page, it lists your email.  The email field is labeled personal email and it has an asterisk.  My questions are: 

1. Does this has to be an actually personal email?  Because mine populated with my work email, since it was used when I set up my Atlassian account. 
2. What is the asterisk for?  Usually, there is additional information but I see no link or footnote to provide additional information.   

I would appreciate any input that you guys could offer.

@Ledith_Harrison I would suggest reaching out to the company who does the testing.  I believe that they want you to use your personal email so if you change jobs the certificate still stays associated to an email / account that you have access to.
