OnDemand instance of legacy version (4.1)

IanM November 30, 2011

I'm trialling JIRA for use on a client network.

Unfortunately the client PCs are still at IE6. They aren't due to upgrade for around a year. This is out of my control.

So, until they do upgrade, if I'm going to provide a JIRA solution it will have to be 4.1.

Is there a way of creating a JIRA 4.1 OnDemand site so that I can perform a realistic trial?

cheers,

Ian

Ouch - IE6 for another year... OnDemand is designed as a uniform platform, so unfortunately, we cannot setup an instance with application versions other than the default.

We do have a partner arrangement in place where we can get you in contact with a company who will do hosting of any version/plugins/customizations you want (though pricing/terms/etc. is all set between you and them). You could also always setup a local/download instance of JIRA 4.1.

If you want more info about having a partner host your instance, just open a support request and we will start the process (also some of our partners are regulars around here so they may comment and have more details).

Hi,

I've just been battling with the support request page - and can't get the request in. It's insisting my SEN is invalid - I've cut/pasted it, so I'm sure it's right.

Could you help me along with this? Can you turn your recommendation above into a support request for me?

cheers,

Ian

Sent you an email to the address tied to this account and we can finish this up via email instead of a support ticket. Please let me know if you didn't get the email.
