Hi Team,
Notifications: Configure notifications for when SLAs are about to be breached or have been breached. Can this be done ?
if possible can you please implement this in our project.
Thanks
Deepika
Hi @deepika rathore!
Yes, it is possible to configure notifications for when SLAs are about to breach using JSM automation. However, many users face challenges when setting it up and encounter limitations within Jira's native capabilities.
To bypass these restrictions, I recommend using the SLA Time and Report for Jira add-on, which my team developed. This add-on can quickly handle your request and eliminate limitations or delays related to manual settings.
SLA Time and Report offers detailed SLA tracking, breach alerts, and notifications without the need for complex automation setups. With this add-on, you can set flexible notification settings to inform your team about SLA statuses.
You can configure notifications to be sent at specific times before an SLA breach or has been breached. For example, if you have an 8-hour SLA target and want to receive a notification 2 hours before the deadline, you can set a notification to be sent at the 6-hour mark. This ensures timely reminders and helps prevent SLA breaches.
You can set up actions for breached SLAs, such as:
In addition to setting notifications, you can analyze your SLAs in detail and manage them in real time using the SLA Grid feature. You can also easily track performance and identify bottlenecks to optimize your workflow.
You can try the 30-day trial to explore all the add-on features. If you have any additional questions, feel free to reach out — I’ll be happy to help! 😊
Hi,
you could use an automation rule that will send a notification
https://www.atlassian.com/software/jira/automation-template-library/rules#/rule/1371668/26233505
in this exemple it send a notification to a slack channel but you could change the action and send an email

This is done through automation. A really good post about this can be found here:
