I know this question has been asked several times. Every answer I've read has not resolved my problem. I can't get the notifications to any of the users. Only emails are received from automation tasks. I haven't been able to figure where the disconnect is.
Please help.
Hello @Niranjan Vemuri
So, you do receive emails from the Jira system, if those emails are generated by an Automation Rule. Is that correct?
If so, then you should check the following:
1. Click on your Avatar in the upper right and select Notifications.
2. Confirm that you have Email Notifications enabled overall, and the boxes in that section are checked.
3. Farther down on that same page in the Default section confirm that you have Email checked at the top of the column and other boxes checked below it.
4. At at the bottom of the page will show a list of projects where you have customized the above settings for specific projects. Check if you have any projects listed there.
5. Next, are the activities that are occurring in the Jira instance all being done by you, or are some being done by other users? If they are all being done by you, in the above settings (step 2) make sure you have checked the box for "You make changes to issues".
6. Next, you need to confirm that in the projects where issues are being modified, the Notifications configuration for that project is set up to send notifications for those activities, and that the you are within the recipients for those notifications. You can find Notifications configurations under the Project Settings for a project.
Please confirm for us that you have gone through all those steps and provide evidence/screen images to show the settings you find for each step.
Thank you. it worked for me.
How can I enable for all users?
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Which specific setting did you need to change?
If it was a setting in the Notifications options under your avatar, you cannot manage those for other users. Each user has to manage those for themselves.

@Niranjan Vemuri Welcome to the Atlassian Community.
I'm wondering if this might have something to do with the automation directly pushing the emails out, while other types of notifications require a combination of configuration settings and watching of tickets.
