All Jira users in my company don't get any email notifications when watching a ticket.
Meanwhile if someone mentioned a user directly, notification comes.
I checked Notification helper and it says that everything should work. For example I tested on adding new comments, and helper says: USER_NAME receives notifications for the 'Issue Commented' event. But there is no email...
Do you know how to enable this option?
Hi @Alex Gavrysh welcome to the Atlassian Community!
Notifications are based on events: issue created, issue updates etc. and recipients (f.e. All Watchers).
So the trigger is always the event.
You can choose whether or not to automatically watch issues you comment on or update. You can go to Your profile and settings () > Personal settings to see and set your Watch your issues preference. Make sure that it is set to 'Enabled' if you don't know what the global settings are.
Next, make sure that 'Get email updates for issue activity when you're watching the issue' is checked.
