Not all issues are shown on the "Board" view but are shown on the other views.

Edited

Hello Jira community!

Take note: My project has a Business/Work Management board. Not Scrum or Kanban.

The problem:

Recently, some issues have disappeared from the "Board" view of my project (screenshot #1).

---------

-----------

But you can see them in the "Issues" (screenshot #2), "List" and "Reports" (screenshot #3) views.

----------

---------------screenshot #3.png

If you compare the "Enrolled" status: "Board" view = 22, but "Issues" and "Reports" views = 192.

The missing issues are only those in the green (Done) categories. Not all of the issues are missing. The issues that remain on the board view are not the most recently added issues (so it can't be an archive problem). There seems to be no pattern or similarity between the issues that remain visible on the board and those that are not visible.

This mismatch in the issues shown on the board vs the other views is a recent development. It didn't used to be a problem.

I would like the "Board" view of my project to accurately reflect and contain ALL issues in the project. For example in the "Enrolled" status column on the board I want to see 194 issues.

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Hi @Jessica Proctor

There is a default setting in Jira Work Management that "done" issues are dropped off the board after 14 days.

There isn't a method to change this right now - but you can view/vote for this via this feature request: JWMCLOUD-21

Your alternative for now would be to use a Software Project, and a Kanban Board, where it is possible to decide at what age Issues drop off the board (including never).

Hi @Stephen Wright _Elabor8_ ,

Thanks for your reply and explanation. Really appreciate it. It's a pity that this feature is not available for work management projects yet.

Bringing this back, because the issue with this is that the new Summary view seems to be pulling values from the Board, which could show significantly less Done/Resolved items if they are past the 14 day aging mark.

EDIT: Submitted as bug.

There is the natural aging off of done issues that might explain this. Are the missing issues those that have been marked as done and not updated for more than 10 days?

That's right for some, but others have just dropped off before being done.

Due to a team member leaving I am only picking up a project after a long break, but there are heaps of issues missing on the board so I can't get a full overview.

what is the answer?  can a reactivate them all?

Hi @Margaret Gilroy

Are you sure it's the same scenario as above?

It might be best to create a new question with your specific scenario, so the Community can help locate your missing issues.

This is quite an old question so won't get the same visibility :)
