Hi all,
I've recently got a new phone so I lost access to to generate a key from my authenticator app. I was able to get back into my account with my Recovery ID but how the heck do I set up the authenticator again?? I'm not sure where to find the key nor finding any documentation on how to set it up. It's been a while so I've forgotten what I did.
Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks!
Jacob,
You would need to use your emergency recovery key you created when you setup two step. https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/two-step-verification-976161185.html
Once you login to your account, which is sounds like you did you will need to go to the two step verification page: https://id.atlassian.com/manage/two-step-verification I was not able to find any documentation but I think you would disable what you have setup then re-enable it to setup the new device. If that does not work you can contact support for specific steps. https://support.atlassian.com/contact/#/
Thanks! I did more digging in the security settings and it looks like I need to contact an admin at my company to get this working again.
"Two-step verification is required in your organisation so you can't disable it.
If you need to use a different phone or verification app, contact your admin for help."

I stumbled upon this post after having the same issue. Disabling and re-enabling two step verification will give you the option to setup a new device. No need to contact the admin.
