Hello @[deleted]

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

With what type of project are you working? You can get that information from the Type column on the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.

Can you provide a screen image of what you are viewing? And can you indicate in that image where you are trying to move issues from and to?

Hello @[deleted]

Based on your image I believe you are working with a Team Managed Software project. You can see "software" at the top of the panel. At the bottom I suspect you will see "team-managed", like this:

In a Team Managed Software project where you are using a Kanban board with the Backlog enabled, the issue that you create in the project are placed in the Backlog by default. If you click on the Backlog option, then you should see the issues you have created listed there.

To make them visible on the Board you need to drag them from the "Backlog" list area to the "Board" list area above it.

To create issues directly on the Board you can use the +Create Issue option that you see at the bottom of the Board list in the Backlog screen, or you can use the +Create Issue option that you see in the Board view itself at the bottom of each column.

Alternately, if you don't want to use the Backlog screen at all and have all issues go directly to the board, then you can go to Project Settings > Features and turn off the Backlog feature.
