Missing DoD and DoR fields in ticket

Hi All,

I have been using Atlassian JIRA in all my projects so far which was on my company domain. I was creating tickets with clear Definition of Readiness and Definition of Done so that the assignee was clear on the prerequisite and objective of the ticket.

Recently I was assigned a new project and when i tried to create a new JIRA project, it said Atlassian closes support for Server* products after February 15th 2024. Hence I created JIRA project on cloud. Here my JIRA project cosmetic interface looks different (which is okay) but I was surprised to see DoD and DoR fields are missing. They are not in configurable fields also!!

Did anyone face this issue or am I missing something?

Hi @Savitha V

Welcome to the Community!

A lot of assumptions below, sorry, they're here just to expedite the help.

I get a feeling that your DoD and DoR fields were actually Checklist fields, is that correct?

If so, you were most likely using Checklist for Jira or some other app which allows you to define your own fields of custom types.

In the Cloud things work a little bit differently as App makers cannot define their own custom field types - so there are no custom fields of type Checklist at all as far as I'm aware.

You may want to take a look at Cloud checklist apps. As the member of the team behind Issue Checklist Free and Pro, I strongly recommend giving that one a try as it is perfect for storing your DoDs and DoRs.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Cheers!

Thank you @Wojciech Wardaszko _HeroCoders_  for your reply. I will look into the links you have provided..

Hi @Wojciech Wardaszko _HeroCoders_ , you were right, I had DoD and DoR fields as checklists. But I had no idea that these were separate app and not included within Jira itself. If I need to add this app should I contact someone in my office to get it integrated?

HI @Savitha V

See the Atlassian Marketplace, or go to the find apps section in Jira admin settings

Hi @Savitha V it depends on the role you have in your Organization.

If you go to this link, you see a yeallow button and it says either Get it free or Request App.

If it's Get it Free, you have the necessary permission to install the app on your own in some Jira instance. If it says Request app, you can use that button to send a message to your Jira Admin.

Cheers!

Hey, @Savitha V

If you are in the market for a checklist app, you can give Smart Checklist a try. The app is a nice fit for adding ToDo lists to your Jira issues. You can set up checklist templates in a way where the Definition of Done, for example, is added automatically.

Hi @Savitha V ,

Welcome to Atlassian community!

Could you please confirm, Have you migrated the project from server to cloud.?

Are you facing this after migration from server to cloud.?

Regards,

SB

There was no migration. It was a new project created on cloud.
