Manually running an automatic Automation Rule

We have an Automation Rule in our Kanban board that will automatically add 4 subtasks to any task that is newly created on the board. Their purpose is to comply to various regulations.

Due to an error, one task was recently created without those subtasks.

I know there is an option to run manual Automation rules against Jira tasks, but I can't see the automatic Automation rule there.

Is this still possible? In this case it was due to an error that the Automation didn't run successfully, but is it a "fire once, never again" deal?

I know I can recreate the Task in question and/or add the subtasks manually, but if we run into this more often, I would like to know if there is an easier, quicker way to handle this.

Hi @Maurice.van.Mil and welcome!

You can temporarily change the trigger event of your automation rule to "Manual trigger from issue", or you can add a new automation rule with this trigger event:

This way, you can manually trigger your rule in the "Action" menu of any issue.

I feel your second suggestion is probably the best one, so I will try and implement it that way.
