Make a grid from Table Grid Next Generation read only

Hi,

This question is in regards of the addon Table Grid Next Generation,

I would like to know if it is possible to make the grid read only at specific steps on the workflow or other ways.

I know that it's possible to use a presentation grid but the grid has to be edited at some point.

Any idea would be welcome as this is a discovery step, I still can switch to a different plugin that does the job.
