Just upgraded from JIRA 4.3.4 to 5.0.2. Sandbox installation worked with no issues. Production installation is refusing to send emails. Error message: "AuthenticationFailedException: No authentication mechansims supported by both server and client"

This server has two JIRA installations. The second is still v4.3.4 The same setting work ok on the second installation but not on the new 5.0.2 installation.

Any help would be gratefully received.

Thanks a million,

David

Ok according to the JIRA knowledge base here: http://confluence.atlassian.com/display/JIRAKB/%27No+authentication+mechansims+supported+by+both+server+and+client%27+when+Configuring+Microsoft+Exchange+SMTP+Server

i need to

Set -Dmail.smtp.auth.ntlm.domain=<Domain_name> and restart JIRA.

I have two instances of JIRA on this server how can I tell which is which in the registry editor...?

Some of the parameters have directories list in them when you click on them to have a look. Was easy to tell where they came from then. :)
