Hello!
I'm currently setting up a new project. I've already set the non-working dates to take into account when scheduling issues.
Is there a way for Jira to also take into account leaves/OOO that were set in our confluence calendar? Or any other calendar for that matter.
Hi @Ana Santana
It's Mary from Planyway for Jira: workload, roadmapping, time tracking.
Integrating Jira with Confluence calendars or other external calendars for the purpose of reflecting leaves or out-of-office (OOO) periods directly in Jira scheduling requires a combination of configurations and potentially the use of third-party apps or plugins. Jira itself does not natively support direct integration with external calendars for the automatic syncing of leave or OOO data into its project scheduling. However, you can achieve a level of integration and automation through several approaches:
Explore Atlassian Marketplace for plugins that might offer tighter integration between Jira and external calendars. Some apps are designed to enhance project management capabilities, including syncing with external calendars or importing specific date-based data into Jira:
Hi Mary :)
Thank you for your swift response.
I didn't even think about automations, but maybe they're a good fit!
Cheers!

Hi Mary,
do you think it's possible to check disponibility of a user depending of calendar of Confluence (linked to Jira) and switch the assignee of an issue if the assignee is in vacation?
Thank you
