I have a master project and I built additional projects that I want to link when there is any changes to an issue that it links to the Master project and updates that link with the recent changes/comments/modifications??
Hi @Trey Whitfill - Hope you are doing well. After reading your question it seems like this is a very broad ask. Please clarify me if I am wrong but It looks like if there is any change on the master ticket you want to update the same on the linked tickets as well.
This can be done via automation but you need to be specific about what needs to be copied over from master ticket to other tickets specially the "Fields".
Also, you need to have "link issues" permission on both the projects where the issues will be linked as well.
Then you can create an automation that will be triggered on "Issue updated" in the master project and then create a branch that will look something like this -
Please let me know if you need more help to set this up.
Thanks,
-Bharat
Hi @Trey Whitfill ,
Thanks for posting your question here.
I am Dhiren, one of the Solutions Engineers working at Exalate.
As @Bharat Kalia suggested, we can create an automation rule for this but this might not be an effective solution.
In this case I would recommend you to try out a fully decentralized and bi-directional integration solution like Exalate.
Exalate is a robust integration tool designed to facilitate seamless collaboration between teams using different work management platforms.
It provides you with a Groovy based scripting engine for limitless customizations.
Thanks, Dhiren
