Link BitBucket with Jira based on branch name

I've linked my OnDemand BitBucket with Jira, to be able to view the list of commits pushed to BitBucket on a Jira issue. The way we work is that we create a git branch named after Jira issues. E.g. we have branches named "SHAD-1114", "SHAD-2573", etc. What I'd like is for Jira to associate a commit to an issue based on this - branch name - rather (or in addition to) on commit comment.

Is that possible?

Thanks

I don't believe that's possible. The extent of what can be performed is documented here:

https://confluence.atlassian.com/display/AOD/Processing+JIRA+issues+with+commit+messages

You can consider submitting a feature request here: https://jira.atlassian.com(JIRA DVCS Connector) ... in doing a quick search I found what seems to be a similar request: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/DCON-356
