Limiting user access to third-party apps

Hello,  I have a few business projects that I am trying to limit access to our Apps.  If I go to the board of one of these projects, I see there is an Apps menu item which list the two third-part apps we purchased.  I really only want the admins to have access to them.

Is there a way to restrict user access to these apps and/or remove the Apps menu item from the board.  I know that the business board is simplistic.

If I cannot do either of the above, is my only option to use Jira Software Project templates?

Thanks in advance.

Hello @John Bradley

Jira itself does not support

- removing the Apps menu

- removing specific apps from the Apps menu

- restricting who can access a given App

It is up to the App vendor to build functionality into their app to support restricting who can access the app functionality. Some vendors do that, but many do not.

This is not related to the type of project you are using. Changing to Software projects will not give you additional options to address this need.

Thank you Trudy.  This makes sense, as I removed access from the Scheduler application that was allowed to me in the permissions setup but could not do so for the other application.
