What type of project are you using? You can find that information in the Type column on the "View all projects" page.
If you are working with a Company Managed project, you will need to modify the Notification Scheme associated with the project. If that Notification Scheme is used by other projects, the admins in those projects would also start receiving notifications.

If you are working with a Team Managed project you need to modify the Notifications set for that project.
