×Starting yesterday I'm suddenly getting rate limited in google sheets using Jira integration for google sheets. This hasn't happened before and I haven't added new jira function calls recently. Did something change recently?
The errors are pretty hard to clear because even after a few minutes it doesn't retry and I have to adjust some part of the function like arbitrarily changing the limit param just to get it to actually try again. This is breaking a whole bunch of dashboards and reports that are really useful to my teams, and advice appreciated. I'd rather not have to write a new API integration and start using regular databases to do all of this.
Hi @Jeremy Benson ,
I'm not sure if you are using our Google Sheets Integration for Jira add-on or Atlassian's Jira Cloud for Google Sheets.
If you are using Google Sheets Integration, here is an article on how to determine if this is the problem and request an increase in quota with Google:
https://docs.mobilitystream.com/gsi/google-api-quota-limits
If you are using Jira Cloud for Google Sheets, you can scroll down to the resolution section and request an increase in quota, that should solve the problem for that tool as well.
Kind regards,
The Mobility Team
We just heard some rumblings about the quota issue. If you are using Atlassian Jira Cloud for Google Sheets, the below change might be the culprit:
Unfortunately, we can't help you much further with this. You might want to contact Atlassian Support.
Another alternative would be to try our Google Sheets Integration add-on. It works differently and is more robust for large and reoccurring exports. Unless you update thousands of issues every day & everything is set to real-time, you won't hit the quota.
Best regards,
The Mobility Team
