Hello All,
We are trying to pull data from Jira (cloud) to our Power BI (cloud) instance. We have tried multiple options without any success.
Option 1 ( Using API): We want to try this option but we don't see the "API token" link in our cloud instance as shown in this blog: https://zappysys.com/blog/how-to-import-jira-data-in-powerbi/
Option 2 ( Using WebHook): We see this option in our instance but should we create a Power BI reports first and then add the URL link for this report in the option below?
Option 3 ( Using Data Query):
We followed exact steps as shown in this blog but get blank screen.
Option 4: (Using connection within Power BI):
From Power BI when we try to connect to Jira then it fails to connect us using our admin credential. But for some reason it allows us to connect us as "anonymous". But then we don't see any data for obvious reasons.
Please advise.
Thanks a lot.
Monika
Hi,
You can try our app to easily export Jira data into PowerBI and create the dashboards:
AIO Power BI Connector for Jira
Documentation: https://aioreports.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/APBCFJ/overview
If you would like us to provide some samples or have any questions, please feel free to email us at support@aioreports.com.

Hello Monika,
I apologize in advance, but I will only be able to answer to your first option's question.
In fact, you need there to create an API token from the Atlassian account which will make API calls in order to use the Jira API. To do so, you need to access the following link, and connect with the Atlassian account which will make API calls : https://id.atlassian.com/manage/api-tokens. Then, you can follow the instructions described in the link below: https://confluence.atlassian.com/cloud/api-tokens-938839638.html.
I hope this will help :)
Thanks
Boris
