Hi brains trust,
I have some emails that are triggered via automation when certain actions happen.
What I am trying to do is have a wiki field display in the email as it does in the issue.
e.g., the description field has a table that I need t have display correctly in the email however the email output regardless of it being html format still only displays the content as the tags only.
Example of what I get below
||*Mo*||*Tu*||*We*||*Th*||*Fr*||*Sa*||*Su*||
|0600-1000|Start time-End Time|0600-1000|Start time-End Time|Start time-End Time|Start time-End Time|Start time-End Time|
Is it possible to have Jira send Wiki field content such as the description field's and have it display in the email body correctly?
Thanks
Hi @Dave W
I believe you can use the .html function to convert, as described here:
However, there are known issues where everything is not converted. There is an open defect on that symptom, which you may watch/vote for to see progress: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/AUTO-409
Kind regards,
Bill
Hi Bill, that's helped a bit thank you. I can now get the table to appear in order, (minus the table borders). pictures don't appear either.
I appreciate the help so far.

As those images are attachments, even sending links to them often only works for people with a Jira user license. There have been requests to add this for over 10 years, and often the response is to investigate marketplace addons. Unfortunately that would probably not help for emails sent from rules.
