We are currently on Jira software 8.19.1. We are on the non-LTS path to get the latest updates. There has been no update for the non-LTS path for the last two months but the LTS path has a few recent releases. Is JIRA Software 8.20.2 (LTS) a superset of 8.19.1? If we upgrade to 8.20.2 (LTS), will we be able to switch to the non-LTS path to get the latest updates (when they are available)?
@asif-anwar The release paths are not always independent of each other. The next release in the path for you would be the 8.20.2 even though this happens to also be the LTS version. Now, if you want to stay on the LTS version, you will only upgrade to 8.20.x versions until a future version is designated as LTS. However, you could just as easily upgrade to an 8.x.x version when it is released.
Upgrading to the 8.20.x version now will not prevent you from upgrading to beyond the LTS designated version in the future.
