Jira Get all active users API

Daud Rauf August 10, 2022

I am using the specific API to get all active users:

https://api.atlassian.com/ex/jira/${cloud_id}/rest/api/3/users?includeInactive=false

But it gave me app users, jira users and other inactive users other than one that are on my account. Could you help out how can i get only active users with maximum results.

Hello @Daud Rauf

Thank you for reaching out.

Currently, I believe there's no API endpoint to return only active or inactive users on Atlassian applications. We have a feature request created to consider this possibility in the future:

Provide an API to search/exclude from search inactive users

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

For now, the endpoint available to get users will return both active and inactive users:

Find users API (https://yourdomain.atlassian.net/rest/api/3/user/search)

Additionally, can you please let us know the documentation where you found the API you added in your question? I must confess that I was not aware of those parameters.

Let us know if you have any questions.

This api is giving me the list of users but its not giving some of my jira active users. Also it includes some of default jira app users.
