Jira Epic report for completed epic

Allie Malenfant November 17, 2022

Is it possible to pull an epic report for a completed epic? I only see in progress epics in the drop down in the epic report.

Use case: my team has historically done a lot of parallel work for developing our app. Multiple engineers working on multiple initiatives within the project, without a lot of crossover. We're experimenting with a paired approach and I want to be able to compare the progression of the epic when done solo (now complete) vs. epic done by two engineers (currently in progress). The epic report will give me the information I'm looking for, but I'm not sure how to pull it when there isn't an option for the one I'm looking for.

Hello @Allie Malenfant

Welcome to the community.

The list should let you select completed Epics, as per the documentation.

https://support.atlassian.com/jira-software-cloud/docs/view-and-understand-the-epic-report/

The Epic Report shows a list of complete, incomplete, and unestimated issues in an epic.

Are you sure the Epic that you want to display is within the scope of the board? The list will contain only Epics within the scope of the board.

Thanks for taking a look at my question!

To answer yours... great point! The epic I was looking for was under a different project, thus different board. I was able to find it. I appreciate your response.
