Hi,
Our compagny is using Jira Cloud.
At this moment there is for the reporters no option to use any reporting regarding to their logged tickets in Jira.
What will be the cheapest way to provide this option to the reporters of the Jira tickets ?
Thanks in Advance
J.K.
Hi @Sjaak Kouwenhoven ,
If you are talking about more advanced reports and export of the tickets on the customer portal, I guess you will have to use an addon.
You can have a look at the one my team has created: Advanced Portal Reports.
It will provide your customers (portal users) with a table report where they can see, search, filter and export all their Jira Service Management tickets, including many additional details (incl. SLAs, custom fields, etc.), with a very simple UI.
Greetings,
Elitsa
Hi @Sjaak Kouwenhoven and welcome!
There are several options for reporting in Jira, including the reports accessible from the left sidebar of the project or using filters and dashboards.
The question is, what do you like to report on? Or asked differently, what exactly do you mean by "reporting regarding logged tickets"?

I would like to know the reportoptions for our customers/reports who are uring our supporttool Jira to log changes.
Usefull will be, for example.
Number of logged tickets in the last 3 years
Number of Criticals (or other prriority) in the last 3 years

@Sjaak KouwenhovenYou can use the advanced search feature for this, optionally in combination with filters and dashboards.
To use advanced search, go to https://YOUR_INSTANCE.atlassian.net/issues. Here, you can define your search criteria by using the dropdown fields.
If you want to create even more sophisticated queries, you can use JQL.
For example, the following JQL query returns all tickets created since the beginning of the year 2021:
created >= startOfYear(-2)
To get the number of criticals since 2021, the query would look something like this:
created >= startOfYear(-2) and priority = High
Hope this helps.

Hi Michel,
The advanced search (incl filters and dashboards) are available for me, that's not an issue. I am able to run run reports (incl export to XLSS)
Our customers (reporters) don't have these options.
I don't know if this is an authorisation issue in Jira Cloud but I would like to know
what options we have for our customers/reports in Jira Cloud to use reporting.

@Sjaak KouwenhovenThe advanced search is always available for all the users, there's no way to prevent users from using advanced search.
Are your customers actually accessing your project in Jira Software, or are they using Jira Service Management?

ok, unfortunately I am not able to check that as a user at this moment.
Could you explain where they could find the Advance Seat option ?
I have a search field in top of the screen. See attached printscreen
I assume that's not the advances search option.

@Sjaak KouwenhovenIf you click into the search field shown on your screenshot and hit the enter key, you will be automatically redirected to the advanced search.

Michel,
The Jira users only see a Find and Help services button and a Requests button in the top of the screen. See the attached printscreen.
Through the Requests button they could filter logged tickets but unfortunately they don't have the option to export the results

@Sjaak KouwenhovenI see, we're talking about Jira Service Management and not Jira Software. I think there are no options for advanced reporting or exporting in the customer portal out of the box. Maybe there's an addon for this in the Atlassian Marketplace, as @Elitsa Velikova suggested.
