Jira Cloud to Confluence Cloud integration for knowledge base article creation

We are migrating to Jira Cloud and are looking to implement a Confluence Cloud-based knowledge base solution. Our knowledge management model is Knowledge Centered Support (KCS)-based.

We need a method of pushing or publishing data from Jira fields into predefined templates in Confluence so that our Jira issues can become knowledge objects.

Previously, I'd been researching this based on an on-premises Jira/Confluence solution, and had a workflow centered around the catworkX Issue Publisher add-on for Jira, but this doesn't seem to be available for Jira/Confluence Cloud.

Is anyone aware of an add-on that allows for similar functionality? Specifically, we would like to:

  • Create a pre-formatted template page in Confluence, including variables for Jira field data
  • Have a simple, one-click option inside a Jira issue to prompt Confluence to create a new wiki article based on the Jira issue data
  • Push the data from the appropriate Jira fields to Confluence so that the Jira variables are populated in the new article
  • Link the created wiki article to the Jira issue for usage tracking
  • Allow for changes made in the Jira issue to be pushed to the existing wiki article

If there isn't an available add-on for this, we are open to alternatives. For example, I'm looking at the possibility of using an export utility to create a PDF from a Jira issue, and then somehow pushing that to Confluence to 'embed' in a new wiki page.

Any recommendations are appreciated!
