Jira Cloud for Excel - import Isuue Link type to Excel

Is it possible to import the Issue link type from Jira do Excel via Jira Cloud for the Excel App? By now It is possible to import Linked Issues. They are collected in one column, few links in one cell for one task. I need to import the issue link type (ex. Inward/ Outward issue link ( relates, blocks, is blocked by, is idea for, related etc.) all in separate/dedicated columns.

It is possible to export it manually from Jira.

I have a ready tool - Excel with macros and pivot tables. I use it for daily reports and meetings. It presents the required information in a proper and nice way.

PDF is not a good option from my business perspective.

If I understand your question correctly, you want to get your issues' issue links into Excel, with dedicated columns for the different issue link types.

I don't actually think this is possible using the Jira Cloud for Excel app, but there may be other apps available from the Atlassian Marketplace that can help with that.

As an example, this should be easy to do using the app that my team and I are working on, JXL for Jira:

JXL is a full-fledged spreadsheet/table view for your issues that allows viewing, inline-editing, sorting, and filtering by all your issue fields, much like you’d do in e.g. Excel or Google Sheets. It also comes with a range of so-called smart columns that aren’t natively available, including the issue links per issue link type(s) as shown above.

You can use the columns to sort and filter your issues in JXL (and also use them across JXL's many advanced features, such as support for (configurable) issue hierarchies, issue grouping, or sum-ups), but also export them to Excel in just a click.

Thank You for your quick response. 

I'll try using JXL for Jira to see if it aligns with my requirements. Is it a paid application?

I wanted to use Jira Cloud for Excel to upload backlogs from a few projects to my local Excel in order to track connections between them using macros, pivot tables etc.

Everything works fine and fast and I can get and refresh data in just a click but major information about issue links type is missing. Manual export from jira is an option ( but not so nice).

If I understand Your answer - it is not possible to use Jira Cloud for Exel to get this extra information.

Generally yes, however it is free for sites with up to ten users. You can also check out the pricing calculator here.
