Log Work data is no longer importing consistently. I've tracked it down to the fact that if the issue contains logged work with a comment, no Log Work data will be imported by the add-in.
Has anyone else found a workaround? It's quite important to our reporting that this is working, and it's taken me a week to figure out why everything's been incorrect.
I imagine it broke on 16 Dec update.
I also have faced this issue and created a ticket for it https://support.atlassian.com/requests/JST-1082439/
Have you found any workaround? For a brief time yesterday I could pull all the data again but by the afternoon it was back to being broken.
I can't seem to view your ticket, unfortunately.

I checked now, and it stopped working for me too.
It looks like only the person who created the ticket can view it, but I've reopened it.

I submitted a ticket as well. I also commented on the post for the release update. I'm following this post as well. Unfortunately, I'll have to submit my hours for last month by tomorrow and I have a sneaky suspicion that I'll have to do it manually.

Yeah I have some weekly reporting on time spent across various projects, which I haven't been able to do since mid-December. I'm afraid I haven't found any workarounds.
Marketplace addons aren't an option for me because Jira is shared across the institution with 100s of users who don't all need access to the addon. Why they charge per user, and not user who actually needs it is very restrictive...

FYI: I see the issue is resolved, I see an update in my ticket. Hope it works for you too.

@Dyer, Edward I've seen a few topic about defects in Jira Cloud for Excel recently, like this one. As you suggested, Atlassian may have deployed something that is broken to production. You may want to watch the tickets created by those users because two customers has more chance to bring attention to this..
As workaround, you can always use the Better Excel Exporter app to export your worklogs (samples) with other issue data.
(This is a paid and supported app developed by our team. Free for 10 users!)

Hi @Dyer, Edward ,
There has been a recent change to Jira Cloud for Google Sheets & Jira Cloud for Excel by Atlassian. This seemed to have caused all sorts of side-effects that people have been reporting, basically making it unusable for some people. However, even before many user-reported issues and increased system unreliability. These tools are in maintenance mode and very low priority for Atlassian (background here).
If reliable exports are important to your business, we recommend to try our Google Sheet Integration / Excel Online Integration add-ons. They work fundamentally different by exporting directly out of Jira via API calls. They are much more reliable and used by the largest organizations. Exports can be one-time, scheduled, or real-time You can also export much richer data to create more sophisticated reports (for example Assets, Changelogs, Worklogs, Projects, Sprints, Users, JSM customers). Everything is directly controlled within Jira. Give it a try.
Kind regards,
The Mobility Team
