Jira Cloud Summary Feature Page shows but clicking on any element results in 404

In Jira Cloud, I can view the Summary Feature page/tab for a project. All the data on the view is accurate. But clicking on anything there takes me to a 404 board doesn't exist. However, I can use all the other tabs (Board, Backlog, Timeline etc) just fine

Is this a configuration issue? Or is the jira cloud site just being a little wacky?

Thanks!

J

Hello @Jeff Brooks

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Can you confirm this is for a Jira Software project? Get the project Type information from the View All Projects page under the Projects menu.

Can you provide a screen image of the Summary tab and point out the specific elements you are clicking?

Can you provide a screen image of the specific error you get?

Thanks!

It is indeed a Software project.

It is every element (graphical, text link, etc) on the Summary tab as seen in image. And when I click on anything from this tab, it goes to the 404 (image attached) with a url ending in jira/software/projects/NEXTMATCH/boards/1/not-found

Any help appreciated.

J

When you click on the Backlog tab itself the board should display and include a numeric ID in the URL. What is the numeric ID?

In my system when I hover over (don't click) the Completed widget in the upper left corner of a Summary screen, the URL that shows is for the List view, not for a board. What do you see for the widget URL when you hover over it?

It is jira/software/projects/NEXTMATCH/boards/1/backlog

Hovering over the Completed widget looks similar to yours:

jira/software/projects/NEXTMATCH/list?filter=statusCategory+%3D+Done+AND+statusCategoryChangedDate+%3E%3D+-1w

Also confirmed same behavior with Safari and Firefox

So, when you hover over the widget it shows you one URL, but when you click on it you are directed to a different URL?

Looks like it's trying to open that one and then going back to /boards/1/not-found.

If I directly copy the hover link and paste in another browser tab, it also results in the same thing. I think there is either something wrong with the api server, the web app or my jira instance provisioning.

Console also shows a lot of "can't load resources" errors but not sure if they are related or not. It was throwing some even on the working tabs. There was one saying that it was trying to access an api key and the response was "key not found" but again I'm not sure if that is related or not.

Does it happen for your in other projects?

Do other users have the same issue?

Great idea! Created a new test project and it worked fine. Turns out the other project when created did not have the List view activated. And most summary links are trying to open on List view. Once I activated the List view on the problematic project, it is now working. So I guess a better error message or telling people to activate the List view would be helpful. And now the url makes more sense as the Issues tab has /issues/ in it. I just assumed it would open in that tab.

Thanks for your help!

Oh, wow, good catch! I didn't notice in your image that the List tab was missing.
