Is there a way to Automate Jira ticket creation in case of a backup failure using a backup software like Avamar or Veeam, these backup softwares can be configured for syslog or Email notification, is there a supported mechanism for that?

You can configure a mail handler to allow jira to create tickets from email.
You need to create a mailbox in your mail system to send the mail to, and then you configure jira to read from that mailbox.
