Hi,
Summary - I'm using the Jira Cloud plugin for MSExcel and my JQL queries in separate spreadsheets are being overwritten with the last query i have run.
Background
I am working with 2 separate excel spreadsheets that are querying the same Jira data.
Each spreadsheet was created with its own unique JQL query, eg
but... I have the following scenario
My workaround is to keep text copies of the queries and paste them in the query box every time I switch between spreadsheets.
They are stored in separate locations.
Is there a solution to this?
Many Thanks
Dave

Please save the spreadsheet in .xlsx format with different name.
Thank you,
Ashish
Hi @Ashish Bijlwan ,
Thanks for the welcome and quick response.
Both files were already in .xlsx format. Ive renamed them and also moved one of them to my local device to ensure they were not in the same location.
Same issue occurs, I updated the data in file 1, saved it, closed it, and opened the 2nd file. The queries from file 1 are populating the JQL Query box in the 2nd file and I'm having to copy and paste the correct queries into file 2 before refreshing the data.
Thanks

I hope Spreadsheet 2 is not a copy of Spreadsheet 1 because there is a link between the two excel spreadsheets under the covers in the Jira Cloud data link. And if it's a copy then try to Create New spreadsheet and add the JQL. This will solve the issue.
Kindly try and confirm.
Thank you,
Ashish

Hi @Ashish Bijlwan ,
Thanks again for the follow up. That is a great shout, one file is a copy of the other. I'll create a 2nd sheet 'as new' and hopefully that resolves it.
Cheers

Hi @Ashish Bijlwan ,
Result!!!
Building the spreadsheet and the queries from scratch has resolved it. Lesson learned for future work :)
Many thanks again for your help and support, really appreciate it.
Have a great Friday!
