We have three on-premise instances of Jira running on Linux (Redhat 9). Our Dev, Test, and Prod instances are running Jira 9.12.14, 9.12.14, and 8.22.6, respectively. The "Manage Apps" page in all three instances shows the "Atlassian Troubleshooting and Support Tools" running at the latest version (1.62.0, 1.62.0, and 1.56.1, respectively). In all three instances, the "Plan Your Upgrade" tool offers up to and including JIRA version 10.3.1.
In all three instances, when I go to the "Jira Update Check" tool, the page immediately displays "Congratulations! You're running the latest version of JIRA". This is wrong, and it's preventing me from properly planning my upgrades.
Our "Versions and Licenses" page says "License Type: Commercial (Data Center)"
Can anyone suggest a remedy?
Thanks,
Janet
Atlassian has referred me to this known bug: https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JRASERVER-78372
The workaround is, unfortunately, quite tedious: "You can validate app compatibility manually by going to each apps individual Marketplace listing and choosing the Explore Data Center versions option in the lower right corner. "
Hello @kns_jeinhorn
It looks like this bug is affecting a lot of users.
Here, in the support request created, you can track the status of the problem:
The Jira Update Check within UPM always displays that you are running the most current version of Jira

All support and upgrade paths for Jira SERVER ended 11 months ago. If you didn't upgrade all your Jira instances to the highest version possible while your licence was still valid, then those insances are now locked at their current version levels.... FOREVER.
The only 'remedy' is to upgrade your licences to Jira DATA CENTER or migrate to Jira CLOUD

I just amended my inquiry to say that our license type is "Commercial (Data Center)"

If you have valid Jira DATA CENTER licenses, then you should be able to upgrade.

Thanks, I have opened a support request. I'll update this inquiry if Atlassian provides a useful response.
