JIRA Redmine Importer Plugin

Jeremy Lucas September 7, 2018

We are trying to migrate from Redmine to JIra.  I have read this guide

Importing Data From Redmine

And watched this video which makes it look oh so easy. Except the importer is not to be found anywhere on Jira Cloud.... BOOO....

Import Redmine issues into JIRA (YouTube Video)

Here's what we've done:

1.) Purchased Jira Cloud

2.) Went to JIra Settings > System > External System Import

(Only available importers are CSV, Trello, JSON)

3.) Went to JIra Settings > Addon's > Find new Addons > Search for Addon

(Searching for "Redmine" does not find the redmine importer plugin)

4.) Went to Jira Settings > Manage Addons > Settings > Enable Private = True, Enable Development mode = True

5.)Went to Jira Settings > Manage Addons > Upload.. (Pasted URL of the Jira Importers Redmine Plugin https://marketplace.atlassian.com/download/apps/1211039/version/121 ) That didn't work either...

Error :  https://marketplace.atlassian.com/download/apps/1211039/version/121 cannot be installed on this Cloud instance.

Question:

How do I install https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1211039/redmine-importers-plugin-for-jim/version-history in my current new clean instance of Jira Cloud???

you can't install the plugin in the Jira cloud Version.

You have to download the server version  ira Core 8.3.5

and use the External System Import and select Redmine
