Please help me out as no one from support ever emailed me back or called. I want to keep using Projects feature, if Jira is disconnecting them, what other option can I use? Maybe I can purchase a desktop plan? I really love using Jira with my team. Please advise! I am desperate to reach out to anyone on the support.

Hello @Dariia Butriy

Welcome to the Atlassian community.

Can you clarify what you mean by the "Projects" feature? And what message are you receiving exactly about them getting "disconnected"?

Projects is an entity in the Jira application. Projects contain issues/work items. That is a fundamental feature of the Jira application. Atlassian would not be removing that feature from the application.

Have you perhaps received some sort of notification that you subscription is going to expire? Is that what you mean by "disconnect"?

Trudy hello!

I am attaching the screenshot here, can you please help me understand what does it mean?

Here is the exact message, please help with advice if you have any idea what does it mean!

Extended timeline: We're no longer supporting five of your gadgets starting May 2025

Starting May 2025, we're removing the functionality of the Jira Road Map, Bubble Chart, Heat Map, Projects, and Labels gadgets. If you don't delete them before then, they'll no longer work, and you won't be able to reference them for the available alternatives. More about the gadgets and the extended timeline

The message is naming 5 gadgets that are provided by Atlassian for use in Jira Dashboards. Those gadgets will no longer be available starting in May 2025. Where you are using those gadgets in your dashboard currently, as of May they will no longer show the data you see currently.

The message provides a link to an article in the Community that provides more information. Did you review that article?

One of the gadgets that will no longer be supported in the Projects gadget. You are using that gadget in the Dashboard that is displayed in the image. In May 2025, that gadget will no longer show the data int currently shows.

If you still need that data to be available in a Dashboard you will have to look for a third party app that provides the same functionality.

The reference to the "Extended" timeline concerns the original announcement for the deprecation of those gadgets, where the deprecation date was Dec. 2024. The date was pushed out to May 2025.
