JIRA Automation Round-robin IF ELSE / ELSE statement issue

Casey Carter February 3, 2021

I am having an issue with Round-robin group executing in order. I have a few IF ELSE statements setup, and utilizing the round robin feature, when the IF ELSE is executed it will assign to the round robin group, but when it executes again and hits the ELSE statement with the same group, it does not take into account the previous IF ELSE that was assigned on the previous ticket and assigns it to the same user again. Has anyone had any similar issues or a fix for this?

Thanks.

Round robin assignment uses the round robin assignment within the component only, so if you have multiple assign actions, they will all have independent round robin assignments.

That might be the issue here?

Hi Mark,

Appreciate the response. That is what I was suspecting to be the issue, do you know of any workarounds for this? Or any other ways to handle being able to utilize a round robin that would iterate through the same list, based off of different conditions met?
