We use JIRA app a lot, but it seems not all fields from original ticket are available when opening the ticket on the app. some of the field are just missing. Anybody knows why? and if there is any way of choosing which fields we like to appear on the app?
And also, links attached to description do not work from the app - anyone can across the same problem ?
Sharon,
you need to configure the fields to be displayed in the Create screen for the project. Go to project settings > screens and find the screen for the issuetype and add the missing fields. You need to be an admin for this.
Thanks for the answer, but I'm not sure I understand. The ticket is configured correctly in JIRA but appears differently in JIRA APP (some of the field are missing only in the app view of the ticket). Did yo mean I can somewhere configure field to be seen in the app version of the ticket?

my bad Sharon. i read your question too quickly and did not understand that this was specific to the smartphone app. TBH, I use the mobile app sparingly. My limited experience is that it is certainly a scaled back mobile I/F. As it should be IMO. That said, I would hope you could access all fields. What fields are you not able to access? If memory serves you have to click the 'more' link to expand to show all (?) fields. But I suspect you already knew that and are not seeing the fields you need?

Hi @Sharon Koren , I am product manager of the Jira mobile app. First of all are you using the Jira Cloud or Jira Server app? Next, as @Jack Brickey asked, will be good to know what fields are you not seeing in the app. We haven't yet supported 100% of the fields, but most of them are there. And we are working our way towards supporting more.
So will be good to know if your missing ones are default fields, or custom fields, and if custom - of what type.
Thanks!
Irene

Hi Irene, Thank you for getting back to me..
We are using Jira cloud app. I have 2 fields that do not sync to the app. They are both costume fields I have made in our tickets called "LINKS TO MATERIALS" and "LINKS TO ASSETS". both field are folders that open up to different place holder for links. I am attaching screen shots:
#1 : the fields in my original ticket that are missing in the app
#2 : the open folder in the ticket
I tried to overcome this problem by attaching our links to the description in the ticket - but links there even though visible are not clickable (do not open)
- If a link is placed in the comment bar in the ticket IT DOES appear and open on the app

And Jack, of course I saw the "more" option and still the fields mentioned above are not there :)

Unsure why TBH. It is possible you are on a different version. Contact Atlassian Support.
