Issues in progress missing from Kanban board after Release

Julia Downs August 9, 2021

We had a release  of 12 issues, however only 4 of them done. We expected the remaining 8 to move back to the Kanban board after the release has been released, but they're not showing up on the board.

How can we get them showing back up on the board? We still need to continue work on the non-resolved issues.

We also have a filter for this board, which might be affecting it however I'm not sure.

Hello @Julia Downs

Welcome to the community.

Are you using a Company Managed project or a Team Managed project? It will say at the bottom of the navigation pane on the left.

For Company Managed projects, there is often a sub-filter added automatically to the Kanban boards that results in issues being excluded that have a Fix Version that is a version that has been Released. This is shown at the bottom of Board Settings>General

The concept is that an issue that is marked as "fixed in" a version that has been Released is assumed to be "done" and no longer needs to be shown on the board.

If you do have this sub filter on your board, then you either need to remove that Released version from the Fix Version fields of the incomplete issues, or you need to remove the sub filter from the board.

@Trudy Claspill Thank you! Both of your solutions did the trick and put the issues back on the board.
