I added the status 'Backlog' to my workflow

I filtered my backlog by 'To Do' status and bulk changed the items in the backlog (not in a sprint) that were 'To Do' to be in 'Backlog' status

My backlog view no longer shows these issues. All quick filters have been cleared.

When I use the filter for my board in search the issues in 'Backlog' status are in the search results. The filter is simply project = MYPROJECT ORDER BY Rank ASC

The backlog is not associated with a column on my scrum board for the active sprint because issues in 'Backlog' should not be in the active sprint.

Hi @Julie Worthington and welcome!

Is your new "Backlog" status visible in the "Unmapped statuses" column of your board configuration? Because you work with a scrum board, you need to map all statuses to a column even if you just want your issues to be visible in the backlog. This is because scrum boards do not differentiate between statuses in the active sprint and in the backlog (as opposed to Kanban boards, where this is the case).

Hope this helps!
